Introducing the bands

Some of the best and most exciting forró bands of today will be joining us to camp under the stars this year.. Check it out!

Coroné Trio!

Everton Coroné brings us his magic!

We are crazily excited to be welcoming one of the greatest Forró Pé de Serra trios currently playing.. These guys are incredible.. Everton’s voice will undoubtedly move you from every chakra and the musical genius of this trio will be a treat for your body and soul in every way!

All the way from Belo Horizonte, Everton Coroné has been playing at all the best forró events in town and beyond..

In fact if you go to a highly regarded forró festival in Brazil, you’d be hard-pushed to find him missing.. He’s everywhere!

Forró Mangaio

Gabriel teams up with Lipe and Leandro!

Felipe Torresmo, Gabriel Walsh and Leandro Teixeira make up this newly formed trio and we’re delighted to host them as part of their first ever European tour!

Having spent many years in Brazil, studying with many of the greatest sanfoneiros of today, Mangaio's  accordionist, Gabriel, found his current home in Lisbon and playing regularly as well as founding this brand new project!

This trio will be no doubt be bringing a varied and unusual mix of music influenced by all the greats, with their own unique stamp of creativity too. Expect jazzy undertones, flute interludes and a well rehearsed show of intricate and luring sounds all the way through their Sunday slot and hopefully the after party at our final campfire too! Yeahhh!

London’s Fantastic Forró Trio

Unified in 2011, Forróbamba have steadily been growing their UK and indeed international reputation as one of the most highly regarded  Forró bands in Europe, regularly conjuring up new tracks and recently launching their first album “Balançe o berço”. These guys never cease to amaze us. They just get better and better and Forró Fest UK are honoured to host them as always.

Their latest album release was a huge success, featuring the title track “Balançe o berço" amongst other top tunes!

Miriam Ariana

Growing up with French and Danish folk music, Miriam studied at the Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts in Denmark. Miriam fell in love with forró in 2008 in Paris and has continued her passionate discovery of Forró since then, travelling to Pernambuco in Northeast Brazil, where she got to know its roots before venturing further Southwards.

With her violin in hand and her sapatilhas  on foot, she has travelled the world, sharing her passion for both dance and music. We are over the moon to bring Miriam to Forró Fest UK where she’ll be joining Everton Coroné on the stage!
